Our FAFSOM Group meets at various places around the area,
typically on the last Monday Night of the Month at 18:30 (6:30 PM).
Everyone is welcome to join us.

We accomplish our mission by:
1. Mentoring:
a. In it for the long run
b. We must Build Trusting Relationships
c. Being a good neighbor
d. Share our own experiences
e. Listening to others experiences
f. Remember our own limitations (we are not Doctors, Social Workers, Counselors)
g. Refer to others when necessary
2. Sharing:
a. Monthly meetings
b. Small group sessions
c. Making personal contacts
d. Family outings
e. Adopt a Family/match FAFSOM Member to each Family
f. “Military Briefings/Briefs”
g. Educational Programs (such as the Alicia Cottrell event)
3. Connecting:

b. Creating a supportive services matrix
c. Get listed in 211
d. Engage with FRGs (Family Readiness Groups)
e. Engage with FACs (Family Assistance Centers/Coordinators)
f. Provide educational opportunities (money management, time management, etc)
