The TSA has put out a security directive pertaining to Military Passengers. Family members of military passengers may now be given a pass for the following reasons:
- To escort the military passenger to the gate
- To meet a military passenger's inbound arrival at the gate.
Airport Gate Passes for Military Passenger Family Members
The family member can now go to the airline that the military member is flying on and receive a pass to go to the gate. The family member will be required to have a pass and a photo ID to get past the security checkpoint.
